Each print is hand rubbed on the finest oriental paper by the artist.
 

Each woodcut is lovingly hand-cut from the finest quality pine woods. Many, many hours of carving went into these fine prints. Adagio and Bengal Tiger for example exceeded 100 hours of cutting. The Twenty-one Zebra print took 96 hours.
Then each print is hand-printed by the artist with fine relief oil based ink on the best quality oriental papers. The printing process requires hand rubbing each line. Adagio and Bengal Tiger, because of their size, require 2 hours of inking and rubbing time just to make one impression. That does not include set-up time and clean-up time.

This is a tribute to my Dad who was director of the University of Wisconsin Bands for 38 years. He was noted for his marching band innovations--especially bands that played and sang in concert and on the football field.

 When ordering please include your shipping address and telephone number.  If you order an original that has already been sold, your check will be returned to you unless you indicate an alternate. Some paintings that have been sold have been removed from the web site. Others can be seen by appointment. Money orders and cashiers checks will speed shipping time. When ordering with a personal check, the shipment will go out as soon as the check clears the bank.
